DU survey

DU survey is out and things don't look good. Most numbers are down and there is a big drop in mallards ( I could have told them that) overall and the Eastern population is down also but not as big of a drop. I still think that at some point in the future there is a closed season coming esp. if things continue to go the way they have been going. Remember, wood duck hunting closed in 1918 and didn't reopen until 1941, so when these populations crash, it takes more than a couple of years for them to recover.

Green winged teal and canvasback are up (if we are really to believe the data). I see us harvesting only one of all species per day eventually but not a complete closure.
