Happy Independence Day to everybody! Any big plans today?

For me I am pumping right now. Running through the wells as fast as I can. My second oldest is on her way from Nebraska. Hopefully the flood situation doesn’t cause her too much grief. we will be doing our annual fish fry. Along with that will be frying some chicken up and usually make a bunch of goose or duck wrapped in bacon with cream cheese and jalapeño peppers. Sometimes she adds some pineapple. Tons of other junk food so the kids can run around bonkers. Then we will shoot some decoy money up into the sky. Lots of starving kids over there in China so have to support their economy I guess . Mostly will just mooch off of the neighbors who spend the big bucks on the fireworks.

As a sidenote, I haven’t had a drink in about a year and a half, but I do have some beer available just in case I decide to kick the celebration into high gear, so forgive me if I post crazy stuff later on tonight. 5 stand I have your number so maybe I’ll start drunk calling and texting you.

We have a community get together below the bluff in front of the house on Big frog Creek... They cook fish and all the fixings, always a good time and lots of visiting, that's around noon... Moe doesn't like fireworks or thunder, so I'll try to keep him calm this evening...

She makes Cowboy Candy jalapeños and uses them and let me tell you that makes them even more amazing. Hopefully our jalapeños plants offer a plentiful harvest this year.

Daughter is almost here. Oldest daughter surprised us and showed up with her black lab. Will have all 10 under one roof again. Doesn’t get better than that for me.
