Any electrical guys?

Postby NuffDaddy » Sat Apr 13, 2013 4:54 pm

Trying to wire up 4 150w HPS lights for Bowfishing and im having a hell of a time. This is how I got them. I think that's how the wiring diagram showed to do it. Does it look right?

That's why the ballasts are all going in a portable box separate from the lamps.

Did it beep when you checked it? If not, the bulb is bad.

Tried 4 different lamps, 4 different ballasts, and 4 different ignitors. Something is wrong with the wiring, just don't know what. Try and troubleshoot with google and all you get is a bunch a weed sites full of people with 0 brain cells.

There's you're problem. You're amperage is too high. It's at .72, and should be no more than .55 for those lamp. You're creating a feedback loop, because the lamps you're using are overpowered.

I doubt your fuses are heavy enough for the wattage you're running. I'd bump it up to at least a 60 amp
