Wing sauce?

Postby BrewGUN » Sun Jan 13, 2013 6:12 pm

Alright what's York favorite wing sauce recipe?
Honestly I can't stand chain restaurant wings (hooters, buffalo wild wings, etc.) everytimr I go I'm disappointed, it's never consistent and always poor service. So I usually stick to home made.
I love standard franks wings. Franks hot sauce, butter and garlic, easy simple and good.
Prob one of my best creations is maple bourbon sriracha sauce. Pretty easy to make, 1/4 cup each of bourbon, sriacha, and brown sugar, a few Tbsp maple syrup plus a tsp of maple flavoring extract, 1 Tbsp butter, couple cloves of garlic. A Squirtin of honey is also pretty good too. Bring everything to a simmer while stirring, let cool briefly and tops with your wings. Try it and you won't be disappointed!

I'll try it. I'm a Frank's guy, too. Lots of butter, and just a little garlic.

I agree that there are better hot sauces, for traditional wings though I like franks. My go to hot sauce is sriracha. I made some honey ginger wing the other night and accidentally put a little too much Dave's insanity in there, lil hotter than I wanted but made the beer taste that much better. Jehler, I might need to borrow that recipe for SB!

Sriracha always has a place in my refrigerator. It has heat, but also has a good flavor.
