No I let the steak sit out at room temperature for about 2 hours before (if it's not frozen of course) then for 10 minutes on the "cold" side of the grill. Then about a minute or so right over the coals each side. Sometimes you have to flip it more than once if you have a extra thick steak and kind of roll the sides over the heat. The inside is hot like the rest just not cooked.

It was probably just the picture making it seem that way. Because no way that steak was medium rare when it never got above *115 degrees on the inside.

While it was in the grill. If you still think that a medium then you eat your steaks frozen.

If it was 115 when pulled, then there's a good chance it ended up medium after you let it sit. Looks good either way, but the pics make it look medium. I don't cook all meat to rare...not all cuts are worthy.

I see we have some very picky eaters around here, gk don't worry, we'll put heavy mayo (or was it no mayo?) on yours.

Never said yours wasn't. Just said the pictures made it look medium. I cook mine depending on cut. Most cuts are not good done blue...should be reserved for good meat.
