Looks good.

For lunch I had venison burger, okra and tomatoes from the garden, store bought peppers (mine are coming really slowly except the jalapenos) all sort of fried/cooked together with a little garlic powder and cumin for seasoning with a little cheese on top.

That's a typical thing for me. Grab what I have and just make something with it.

I still have quite a bit of venison in the freezer. Trying to clear it out before September 1 when early goose starts so hopefully I start filling it for the next year. Need to do an inventory, but I'm thinking about 20 lbs or so of venison with some crane and some old, hopefully still edible goose buried in there

Letting an 11 year old select tonight's cuisine.
I'm hoping he wants Casey's pizza.
He loves the stuff. It's our after-hunting on the way home warm-up snack. He always wants root beer.

Finished. I plan on eating on this over the rainy weekend. That was my final two squirrels in the freezer. October can’t get here soon enough.

I’ve never eaten sandhill crane. Does it truly tastes like beef?

More or less. I wouldn't go as far as ribeye, but a good sirloin. It's very good eating. I don't do anything but cook it like I would a steak. Similar texture. Similar flavor.

Canada goose, when done correctly, tastes like a steak.

One opening day I took shorty and bob drake.
We shot 4.
What do you do with it?
I dunno every time we try eating one it sucks.
This carload of drunk teens showed up. They saw a fire.
A kid told us how to cook geese.

He said cut it 1/4" thick and grill it two minutes per side and it'll be like steak.
He was right. A little teriyaki sauce helps.

I did my inventory. About 15 lbs of venison burger. About 5-6 lbs of venison chops and roasts. About 15 lbs of goose burger from January '20  Still looks good. I thought it was venison from last year. Half dozen goose leg quarters from the same birds. One piece of frozen mystery meat :o  Some pork chops I completely forgot I had. About 6 lbs of frozen peppers I forgot about too. No more crane left :( And I really need to defrost my freezer.

Quite a bit more than I thought I had.

Thank you! I honestly had to force myself away from the table because I was starting to gorge myself. My wife also made a blue cheese spread for the thin steak.

All I have is an entire freezer stuffed with ducks.
Poor me.
I think I'll go to the store for shrimp.
That creole mix is calling me.
Wanna cookie?

Thought I liked Tony Chachere's until I tried NuNu's.
The heat from nunu's is kind of nice.
Thanks Shane.

I tried the shrimp creole base. Used a pint of tomatoes and a cup of water....two good shakes of Nunu's.
I can just drink that sauce it's fantastic.
That nunu's spice sure is tasty.
Not that bad.

I need to get set up and educated in crayfish boiling.
Nothing too fancy I'm talking one guy in camp maybe two.
I'd go to Jonesboro, grab a pound or 5, race to camp and boil em. What do I need?
It was $3/# uncooked or $8/# boiled up with the works.
I think I'd be happy with plain crayfish and maybe some smoked sausage thrown in.
This phone insists its not crawfish. Dumbass android

This BBQ thing is getting expensive.
An $8 pork roast now is priced at $20.50.
But I love the pulled pork.
It'll be done around 6pm

After I put the roast on we went and pulled honey.
Forgot my phone. It went smooth due to hardly any wind and no clouds. Park truck in sun. Heats the honey up so it spins out better.
Sunny is good.
Oh. Try the fruit blend pellets from Pitt boss if you have a pellet grill. It smells great.

I need to get me one, I’d like to pluck some wood ducks and smoke then freeze for upcoming holiday gumbos. I’ve eaten chicken and andouille gumbo with a couple of smoked ducks added to it. Superb tasting!

The first thing I ate off a traeger was wood duck.
Just the breast. How they did it I don't know I just randomly showed up and they said "u gotta try this" and handed me one breast.

You know how many times I've washed my hands since that video?

For the last hour I foil it up.

The background noise is mainly the big green cicadas we have here every summer.

Tried something different.
The pan collects juice.
I mixed honey and BBQ sauce with it and poured it over the pulled pork. As usual we sent half to the grandkids.
