I'm not sure whether or not you can shoot the purple ones. The common gallinules do come up north although I have never seen one up here. The guide we went with in Michigan a couple years ago had a group that had just gotten one earlier that year.

The common ones are all over the place in Florida in the winter. I think I finally have my wife trained to tell the difference between a common gallinule and an American coot. Don't see a lot of purple gallinules.

Today I'll try doing these on a pellet grill.
Wife says that her friends at work that have pellet grills use a griddle like that.

Tried the steak on griddle in pellet grill at 500f.
It cooks like a grill but the flavor lacks that good burnt in goodness. Had to use A1 on it.
I'll probably not try that again..use charcoal on a regular grill.

That LSU/Bama score fest may come to fruition. I don’t think either can stop the other.

I don't know a damn thing about African oblong ball.
It's hard to kick it tween the posts.

Not sure how they do it.
Amazing but trivial. What possible actual need is there for a "Dan Beaver".
Hehe Illini sports trivia time.
Cold Caseys pizza for dinner.
Wait....
What?

Picked this up while hunting at a club called MoDuck.
Use half the hot sausage and half the smoked sausage as your pound of meat.
Use 2.25 cups water instead of 2.5.
The Ro*Tel has some liquid in it. (That's optional but dump the whole can in yeah)
It's fast, easy, one pan kind of meal for camp.
I'm a Yankee and like it.
Mm
Mm
It's plenty spicy.

Next I'll do a turkey on the pellet grill.
We've got 4 hospital employees in the family so I've got 4
free turkeys. Will brine and smoke one this week..

I had some that was smoked on a pit boss pellet smoker last thanksgiving. The chef had smeared mayo all over the skin so it would be crispy instead of rubbery. It was a blue ribbon winner! It was like eating a deep fried, smoked turkey. I hope to get some again later this month.

Poutine is what's for dinner.

Oh Canada...

Back to the states tomorrow. Who schedules a work trip in November. Damn non-hunters.

I stole this story and made it mine.
"Fuck the queen".
If you get caught shooting to many 'something or others' and get hauled into court for poaching on "the queen's lands" and if you mutter 'fuck the queen" in court they'll put you on a plane and say "never come back ....don't even try".
Allegedly Harpie actually did it.

The queen's dead. Long live the king.

Doesn't have the irony of the king's dead long live the [new] king.

It's the king's land now. Do they have to change all the signt?

Saying fuck anything in court, you should feel lucky if you just got promptly sent out of the country and didn't have to spend time in the queen's jail with the company of some of the less desirable of the queen's subjects.

I just want to know who gets the job of taking out the trash.

It comes in plastic jars, glass jars, and every type of packaging you can imagine.
Look at the concentrates.
WARNING: If you get caught in Georgia with concentrates it's a life sentence I was told by the cool kids in Alabama.

That pro female ball dribbler ain't never coming back from Russia because them vape pens are filled with "concentrates".
Careful

I did some research on that royal lady and she owns more land than anyone. Stay away from the castle at night. "Alex Jones".

Tonight we brine it. 14# turkey.
Use apples, oranges, lemons, lime, garlic, and some spices I have to look up. 1.5 pounds of salt. Brown sugar. Why not some honey too.
I'll hunt, come home, put bird on pellet grill, and pass out.
She knows how to bake a turkey.
It's just a Smoky oven.
Practice makes perfect. This one is for practice.
Nom

Love the smoked turkey.

It's still in the bucket. Only takes 3.5 hours to cook it on the grill.
Just got home.
Fruit wood blend is our favorite.

Wife researched and they say set the grill to 300.

Pulled a wing off.
Wish I had the word skills to describe how wonderfully delicious it was. Even Embers....a $200 traeger.
We needed a new grill. It's like a smoky oven.
