New gadget lovers

Postby 3legged_lab » Mon Apr 15, 2013 6:05 pm

I just bought these at the bow shop. Could be the newest, greatest thing or just the next gimmick to suck money from my wallet. Not sure which, but I'm gonna find out how they fly. They're called Toxic by Flying Arrow Archery. I hope they fly well because I would imagine the damage in the wound channel would horrific. The only downfall I see is the blades don't look to be replaceable.

Looks like it could get hung up on bone easier. Could work on a deer, wouldn't put one in a hog.

No pigs around here to worry about. I'm thinking more of hoping it flies like a field point. If it does that I have full faith in my shot placement, I just hate the tought of "tuning my bow" to a particular broadhead. I want to be able to have it set up one way, and have arrows that "work with it".

I wouldn't shoot one at much besides a straight broadside. Seems like a quartering angle would really fuck them up. Just shoot some Muzzys or Magnus, for the love of God. The best blood trail is always from having a pass through.

Looks cool but I don't see it working well. With that blade pattern it seems that it would absorb a lot of the arrows energy quickly.

Muzzys don't fly well for me for some reason.
A rage 3 blade had an aweful broadhead, allegedly. With a high double lung pass through.

Worthless. Why wouldn't you just shoot the mother fucker with a gun in the first place?

Only the badass Indians used guns. Far more deadly and rapid fire capabilities.

What's wrong with the rage?
Everyone at our deer camp uses them. Haven't lost a deer yet between 6 guys. My dad hit a branch and put the arrow just in front of the back legs of the deer. It made if about 300yards and we found it the next day. The first deer I shot was with a rage. I hit it in the ass and it was dead in 100 yards. Those broadheads leave a massive hole.

They suck. I shot two deer with two rages, and lost them both. Not a drop of blood, and I lost my damn arrows, too. Fuck those things.
