I like that it's faster, but my SQ2 had a much softer valley.

Currently shooting an old PSE The Beast. Waiting on my new PSE Bow Maddnes XL to come in in another week or 2. Just set my lady up with a new Bear Homewrecker.

....The pse on the other hand is awesome. I can't wait to get it all set up and shoot it through the chrono.

If you think PSE bows are bad, shoot any of the top Diamonds. They have extreme tear drop shaped cams. Stiff draw but a rock solid back wall and super fast. BUT they tend to break strings with that cam design. That was the big reason why I didn't get one.

I could give a crap about speed. I want quiet. Deer can be killed with very little speed. But lack of quiet will ruin even the fastest bows, when it comes to killing deer.

But that's the thing with pretty much all of today's bows. It doesn't matter what brand you buy, starting from about the 500 dollar price range and go up, it doesn't matter what you buy. They are all fast, quiet and smooth on the draw. Yeah sure some may be faster by a few fps. Some may have a more solid feeling back wall. But in the end, they all do the same thing. And that's sling an arrow downrange really fast and quiet. I've been fortunate enough to be able to shoot alot of the new bows out there. I'm just a pse fan. Always shot them. Have always liked them.

For you guys that im friends with on Facebook, go check out that video I posted yesterday of Emily shooting her bow. I put my phone on top of the target. Granted it was only 20 yards, but still. And she is only pulling 37 pounds with a 26 inch draw length.

They made it wide open here in Texas a couple years ago. As far as I know it hasn't changed, haven't kept up much since then.

Its 30 or 35 in MO. I have it turned down for her until she starts building up the muscle memory. She was struggling a little bit at 40.

I keep mine low, probably about 55 now. I like it low- I can draw smoothly and slowly from any position, using just my arms. No contortions. Never got those guys who feel the need to crank it down as high as possible, and then have to move all over and make Olympic power lifter faces while drawing. Just don't get it. And I can hold mine for about 3 minutes, which is good because I've had to do just that, more than once.

My bow is a PSE Nova from about... 2000? Has a whisker biscut (I like saying the name, lol), some sight that I don't know what it is but got out of the clearance bin, those S shaped string silencers, and a rubber dildo thing off the front to smooth it out. I did put some BA camo moleskin on the handle part though so that it's easier on my soft hands and not so freezing cold on the fingers. I haven't shot it in 2 years though because the string scares me too much to pull back and I just haven't put money aside to get a new string.

And it's 40# in MN for minimum draw weight.
