The ones I killed this year were effin huge. Biggest birds I have ever killed. Lot bigger than the two pintails.

No they were wild. Those in the pic were hold up on a pond surrounded by oak trees for a month and a half before I talked the owner into letting me hunt it.

What if I told you I shot one mallard all season and it was while dove hunting in the early October split. Could care less if I kill a mallard or not. I see them on a daily basis. They aren't something I get excited over. Just another bird.

Same here with wood ducks, gadwalls, scaup and coots if they count for anything. I still shoot them, except for the coots.

I get tired of shooting widgeon, gadwall, and scaup so I am excited about killing mallards. Sad part about this is I see mallards every day too, to the point that it makes me sick. But I cannot ever hunt them. They are owned by the fucking horse people who have invaded. Ponds that my dad hunted 20-25 years ago are covered with mallards and canadas that no one can hunt because it might scare the horses. Pisses me off.
