Farmer got the rice out a few days before our season opened, when he rolled it and then flooded the field the leftover stubble was so think we had to make our own hole. I think the best part of that morning was the sunrise.

There were two of us there and my buddy just ran the four wheeler back and forth and I threw out decoys best as I could. We went to Home Depot later that day and got two huge landscaping rakes and spent a couple hours cleaning out a hole. Our field gets rotated between rice and beans and the only thing I can say that I like about beans is no stubble gets wrapped around the axel and boots of the atv. Sucks picking it out on cold days.

Yep. It sucks, I made the mistake of using a buddy's ATV a few times to pick up decoys. It took almost as long to clean the axels as it did to get the decoys. Most of our fields get stomped, disked, or baled so floating straw is not an issue much anymore.

Floating straw is no issue. Shattered ankles however
