we get some that stink like fish guts, we let them slide or make dog treats if we have the time, but I've eaten a LOT of buffies

hopefully I'll be saying this soon. I did find some guides at 200 a day guessing that is the going rate here because they are all priced pretty much the same

One question about kids camouflage is there like a thin outer shell that goes over regular coats and snow pants? Where do look for such things besides cabelas? Daughter grows to fast to get new camo coat every year but something needs to cover up the pink

I'd just buy cheap long sleeve shirt big enough to fit over the jacket.

Or thin coveralls. That's what I did. Dad would buy them a little big so they would last a little longer too.

We've found keeping the kid dry, warm and with a constant supply of snacks they'll be ready to go again.
It would also be a good idea for you to pick up a duck ID book or pamphlet. You can have her take part in the duck IDing since you'll both be learning together. That's something you can start on before you actually go out to hunt.

Just so I'm thinking about this right ducks spend the night on water and fly to fields to feed in the morning and back to the water at night correct?

Not necessarily. they don't all fly to fields to eat. Where I'm at, hardly any use fields unless flooded.

Ok was going to pull the trigger on decoys tonight but not sure which ones. Figured proably be hunting mostly small water which should mean less decoys so should I get the cheap mallards or spend alittle more for nicer will it make a differnce?

If I were you, I'd go cheap for now. Since you're just getting started, you may not end up liking or sticking with it. If so, then you won't be out too much $. If you do stick with it, then you can always go nicer as you build your spread.
