Pallets are about 40-48" square and one pallet would be ok for one hunter but two side by side should hold 2-3 hunters comfortably. The major drawback with pallets is that usually they are not solid and the slats are uncomfortable to stand or move around on. In soft mud they sink easily but never sink level and you end up sometimes with an uncomfortable floor.
Standing brush up around any blind is far better in my opinion than camo cloth, netting or other materials. If you are using slatted pallets, be careful not to drop shells, calls or anything else through the slats, it is a pain in the butt. A dog on a pallet can easily break a leg.
If you are using the pallets as a fence/wall around the blind, they work great for that, sturdy, easy to hold brush and when the brush is applied they offer quite a bit of wind protection
