Hey folks. Looking for insight on the A300. I'm looking at buying my first semi-auto shotgun and am interested in the A300 as a less expensive choice. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I've never used one but I've always heard you can't go wrong with any of the 3 B's.

But don't forget that the A300 is their economy gun.

Do a search at http://www.shotgunworld.com/bbs/ and you'll see that the reviews have been predominately positive.

I picked one up early in the season when it became clear that I wasn't going to be able to pump my old 870 (shoulder surgery), and dragging my nicer upland semi's through the marsh was quickly taking it's toll on them.
In short, I like it. It fits well, and is easily broken down for service.
However, it has been been somewhat unreliable with the case of Kent shells I bought this year. I don't think I can fully blame the gun for that though, as the Kent shells have a noticeable "flare out" on the hull sides at the crimp.
Either way, I think my particular shotgun could benefit from a chamber polishing and I intend to do just that.

Thanks guys. I've heard the same thing about the 3 B's and I really like the price. I know I can pass this gun along to my son in a few years if I decide to upgrade.

Oh and awesome photo DD that just might make my wallpaper.

Does the camo pattern help with the elements? I'm sure I'd be huntin in saltwater?

Yes it does, and is probably the biggest benefit of it.

Stick with beretta for sure. I really don't know the overall record with the two models mentioned but I had a M2000 and I never had any major issues really but I've been very happy since getting rid of it.

I dont really like my Al390 Silver Mallard. Its in great shape. I think I will sell it and get another back up gun, possibly a Stoger 3000 or a Mossberg 500. My M2 sort of ruins me for other guns.

Open to suggestions for a back up gun....

It has a wooden stock. A nice one. The levers to unload it are small and hard to use. It cycles perfect and looks real good. To good....
