I have a Beretta AL390, have had it for 20 years, best shooting gun I have ever owned. Still use it for early teal season and doves. I use a Beretta Extrema 2 for duck hunting, have had it for 6 years, and never had a malfunction, but I do keep it clean.

I'm shooting a Browning A5 - new one... Not the old style ... Benelli Nova as a tried a true back up...

When I'm feeling gracious I'll pull out my Belgian Browning 20g magnum autoloader

I have a Mossberg 500. It's been great for deer hunting, using a Hastings rifled barrel, but I need an auto loader for duck hunting.

Nice lineup.

Mostly hunt with Drownings currently have 425 Belgian waterfowl 3.5 inch a Gold light 10ga and a 1981 Steel frame B80 , have other shotguns too but my main go to water fowling gun is the 425, i do use an old Fran chi magnum model 48A 32 inch and an mp153 i use but 425 is my main 12ga waterfowl gun, using stock chokes have done the 9 years i have had it but looking at carlsens two choke set mid and long range i have been impressed how these have worked in a buddys 425 waterfowl so will be getting some soon. In the Gold 10 i use terror .720 and occasionally .705 tend to leave the .720 in much of the time these days

Welcome aboard. Not a Browning fan, myself, so that Beretta made B-80 would be my pick of your litter. Hunting partner has one he's used to fine effect for years.

Had a black walmart beretta 390 and loved it. When it got disappeared I bought another nicer one that has wooden parts. If you're on a budget and wanting the best go find a twenty or twenty-five year old 390 and put a full choke in it. Shoot steel.
It won't shoot 3.5 inch shells which will save you a lotta cash on the ammo bill.

If you got a ton-o-cash shoot whatever you want. They all miss about the same.

3.5 inch has the presure margin that can prove handy if you are trying to send a heavier load that bit quicker , but fact is the 3 inch has the job of 12ga about covered pretty well, i tend to go for 10ga if i want loads 42gram 38 gram heaviest load i ever shoot in any 12ga.

@Marsh Bear, this is the gun I have and love it. I joined today to ask about budget options for my teenager. He is an avid hunter and I'd like to get him a gun that will last him for years. Knowing that boy he is gonna want a 3 1/2".

He primarily hunts birds with his Mom because she grew up doing it and loves it. He fishes & rifle hunts with me.

I got the black AL390 for her and she loves it. She is fine with it only shooting 3".
