Beretta A300 Opinions Wanted

Postby trap333 » Thu May 17, 2018 12:59 pm

I currently have pumps and an O/U for my shotgun hunting. I'm considering a semiauto and looking into the Beretta A300 in either camo or black. Has anyone ever used one for waterfowl or other hunting and what are your opinions, good or bad? Any thoughts would be appreciated, thanks.

I'd save some money by getting an old closet queen AL390. Scour the pawn shops and gun for sale websites.
The reason:
Back when they manufactured the old 390's and even the walmart version they were trying to enter the market by putting out high quality at affordable price. Those older ones work as well or better than the new ones.
Same system pretty much.
3.5 inch shells? Forget about it.

The only part you'll ever need to replace is the spring that's inside the stock. Some guys replace the tube and spring with an expensive stainless version.
I've heard that it's incredibly stupid to **** around with a crazy man's head.

I'd much rather a Beretta than either of the guns you mentioned on another thread.

Have 3 between me and my sons. Can’t go wrong with a300. Never any issues with ours.
