I won a tristar at a DU dinner too. Biggest POS I ever shot! Would cycle maybe once out of every 7-8 shots.

atleast mines an over/under... dont gotta worry bout cycling... ive shot it a few times now... first one ive ever shot... kinda like it...

I've been trying to get a Tristar for about a year now, but starting to think it wasn't meant to be. Those things mount to my shoulder better than the high dollar guns, and feel better balanced, too.

Still enjoying my 16 ga Tristar O/U. Did have some firing pin sear spring work done to it, Tristar service is in KC, so that was nice. Been bulletproof since then. AT, one of these days you will have your gun. You might look for an older one, then have it camo dipped like I did mine.

I wasn't either, until I handled one at a Gander Mtn. That thing fit and swung perfectly. And I mean perfectly. I was about a week late for Jarbo's, then ordered one from a local gun shop and had it come in wrong three times before I just got my money back.

Some day.

Sorry the pics suck, this is my 16 ga., it is a great pointer, weighs in at 6 lbs. Too many phez loads and your shoulder feels it. Look forward to pounding ducks and geese with it this year also. I can not find a pic of the gun I almost sold to AT( had I of known qwe would be internet pals I would have kept it for ya), but it was a 3.5" MODB O/U.

No worries- everything happens for a reason. That 16 looks too nice to take into the mud, though.

I am about to put some sling swivels on it. It will never be a collectors gun, and guns are made to make memories. I won't take it anywhere too bad, I have enough places where I can drive right to where I hunt, the 16 will kill some ducks, geese, pheasant, quail, sharptails, partridge, and a fall turkey this year.

Woody AL391 that I picked up used a few falls ago. The thing fits me amazingly and doesn't pound my shoulder. I tried posting a picture but apparently the photo I uploaded was invalid. Olly, I think your forum is broken.

I am, and it matters.
Like every other lefty, I grew up shooting RH guns and dealing with it.
But when I got to the point that I could afford that LH SBEII, it was something needed to be done.
Damned thing felt weird at first.

I am left eye dominant. I shouldered the RH guns to the LH shoulder.
I became so used to RH cast on LH shoulder that I had to setup the Benelli that way.

I didnt even notice the SBEII, I saw your cheat sheet taped on the stock for a lefty shooter.

To get detailed group photos like Tucker's, it would take me about 3 or 4 pictures just to show them all. Between myself and my father, we own, well some would say too many. I just say we don't haven enough gun safes.

Two 1100's, Mossy 935, Condor O/U, and an Excell. The Excell is an auto made in Turkey. It is a locking block design like the 1100's only the bolt spring is around the magazine where it belongs. No bolt buffer and the bolt handle cannot shoot off. Guys have shot 1200 rounds thru them without a problem. It has a sleeve that you trurn around to shoot 3 inchers. This allows it to cycle very sofft loads. It uses Rem chokes. Great gun for $300 at the Academy. $317 at WalMart. I also have Hasting barrels for my 1100's. Ned S

Careful with the Tristar. I bought one a while back, apparently they dont like heavy loads of sorts. I shot skeet all summer with mine one year and no problem, take it duck hunting, and wow did it kick, broke it open and both shells come shooting out. Talking with a local gunsmith, he said that some of them have lower quality metals in the actions, which causes the double touch-off because the hammer doesnt re-engage all the way. Does fine with target or upland rounds, but 3" steel rounds not so much. Also one of my ejectors broke, took it to a couple gunsmiths, and they just shake theyre heads. Tri-star doesnt import part for them, so if something breaks you have to send the gun back to them for them to fix it
