Update-
Today I acquired a well used Al390 Silver Mallard. Looking forward to having a new gun in the blind.

Thanks fellas. As always, Jarbo has been very helpful to me behind the scenes in the process.

The gun is in good operational condition but the barrel is rusty. Doesn't bother me. I will probably get it camo dipped anyway.

Better be dirt ass (read: "assateague") cheap, given a 20 was ruled out due to ammo cost.

Rick, its also a matter of convinece. I own 3 shotguns (4 for now) and a bunch of handgun and rifle ammo. I want to grab a shell and know its for the right gauge.

I have a cousin in the Krew that kills the hell out of ducks and geese with a 20; he told me last night he has 2 12 gauge guns and 9 20 gauges. He reloads for both.

Logic dont enter into this, really. I am going to own a 12 gauge. I like 12 gauge. I have mostly shot 12 gauge. I could have written a check for a brand new A300 but REALLY enjoyed cheaping out on a beater gun.

Its all over now. My gun will ship FedEx from Fresno to Topeka and I will have it in my grimy paws this week.

Dont you own a coyote rather than a lab? I am sure you understand that sometimes you gotta do it your own way. This is the case here.

Not faulting you for wanting what you want, just recalling:

If 20 ammo was cheaper it would be.

(As for my using the coyote instead of a Lab, Labs are just Labs, but Chesapeakes are Chesapeakes.)

You can sometimes get 2 3/4" 12ga stuff cheaper than 20s, but the "fun to shoot" factor far outweighs whatever slight difference there might be. And the 20's light carry weight will be a blessing if Jarbo ever get you hooked on upland birds.

If it's not a DC edition Mossberg, you have made a mistake and should return it...

I think this is where something clever about tapatalk should go.

Good find TK. Would have been a great find if it came with a bad ass barrel sticker!

Are they really using Mossbergs now? That's going to be a huge step down from Benellis.

Its all about the money and the advertisement advantage that comes with being tied with those guys right now.

Hell, I'd drive a Subaru if they paid me enough.

Don't see how Mossberg would have more money for advertising than some of the others.

I wonder if the Duckmen will use the one that has the Mathews harmonic dampener in the stock?

Its not a matter of how much they have its who is willing to be the highest bidder. Big corpo office at mossberg looks at it as an investment.

Look at UA - that label is on practically every collegiate and pro sports uniform/jersey (for next to nothing I bet) now every motherfucker in town has 3 60-80 dollar hoodies in his closet. It can't really cost that much to build a polyester sweatshirt. The right advertising in a cash cow.

I'm sure they don't, but they're selling the partnership based on Mossberg being a small, American, family owned company...just like duck commander.

Big investment for Mossberg. I'm sure they're blinded by dollar signs already.
