Sold it last night for 325. Just waiting in his Ffl info and payment. Then to find another boomstick. I've been looking at a few berreta 390's and 3901's on there.

My advice is find what they are worth brand new in the box for that year production. Then name a price anywhere from $1-the MSRP price. Slap a price that you feel comfortable with on it and stick with it. Don't let someone try to degrade your price. If he doesn't like it, that's his problem, not yours. Another thing is never rely on current prices from a blue book. They don't mean a damn.

I sold it a couple weeks ago for $325, anyone who knew that gun knows that i got the better end of the deal (minus the fact that i bought it for 400), but that money is going to my new beretta.

I sold my boss's 11-87 Super Mag a few years back for $650, almost felt bad doing it, when you are selling guns, there's always a sucker, just gotta wait to find him...

I buy plenty of used guns, but you have to stay pretty in touch with the market so you don't get ripped off. I will likely buy at least one more AR in the next year when everybody off loads theirs cheap when Obama isn't taking them away any more.

There'll be another school/mall/workplace shooting in the next 95 days.

Is there some sort of conspiracy theory/reason for the 95 day timeline?

Nope. I just figure it'll happen before Thanksgiving, and off the top of my head, that's about 95 days, I think. Just a guess really. If it happens, please nobody mention this ever again. These things seem to be cyclical, and knowing the media, when school starts in full force in a week or two, they'll start talking about Sandy Hook again, giving people ideas. Then, after a couple months of getting pissed off at the world, some nutjob will try it again. And the administration will be all over gun control once more, and I, once again, won't be able to buy any ammo.

I think I'm good for the moment. But I still can't believe I'm going to have to order rounds for my .35 on the internet, and pay a hellacious shipping fee.

First time I've opened this thread, but it reminds me that I gave my 11-87 to a fellow with a "If you like it pay me something." proviso, and he never did. Reckon he must have liked it as much as I did.

The sad part is it is one of the guns that fit me. When I went to the gun store to buy, I went with an open mind and told the clerk to get down the autos. I pulled, felt, caressed, and slobbered all over those guns like a well paid prostitute and a ......
Well the 1187 really did feel right. But I just couldn't bring myself to pull that trigger. So I went ahead and traded that 1187 in on an SX3 and haven't looked back. Really like that gun. A Beretta will be the next addition to the safe though!

I shot my 11-87 very well, but also ended each season with a callous on the heel of my hand from pushing the operating handle home with it. Chamber had to be kept absolutely squeaky clean, and when it rained, unburned powder stuck to water in the action may as well have been sand.

Thinking of that gun reminds me of it saving the bacon of a fellow from Alabama whose group made a super 8 film of a big white spread hunt we made. Seems the families all got together to view the footage, and our protagonist was getting raked over by his wife for being the only one in the group crude enough to curse - until my voice proclaimed clear as day, "Piece of shit gun."
