just bought carlsons long and med range choke tubes, has anyone ever used thease with steel shot and if so whats your opinion of them.

I have the mid range. I am beyond impressed. Never knew that a aftermarket choke tube could make your patterns that much better. Be carful with the long range. They have shot size and velocity restrictions on them. I get a good pattern to 50 yards with my mid range.

ya i made sure that i looked at that before i bought that. I cant use any steel shot larger than BB or any steel shot faster than 1550 FPS, Which im shooting win 3 1/2 in steel that maxes out 1550fps. so i think ill be ok

I shoot the carlsons mid range BC choke.

Very reliable set up. Killed a snow goose at 65 yards last week.
