The fact that RMFC thought Assa was talking about shooting is cracking me up. Then 8 minutes to draw his awards and post them is the funniest shit ever!

Take that, RMFC!!!

I'm not doing to bad on duck count considering the fact that I've only been duck hunting for a few years and just a weekend hunter before and after the general deer and elk.

Well there's your problem. You're shooting trap, not practicing archery with your pops.

A cold Saturday practice...

91/100

Started losing feeling in my fingers after the first 2 boxes. The wind was nippy to say the least.

Eh, it's alright. I guess I do consider anything that starts with a 9 as the first digit is good.

I was talking about the cold, but that 91 is damn good. I might go for 65 on a good day. I am terrible at shooting clays. We use a handheld thrower (because I don't compete or anything like that) and I frequently miss easy left-right/right-left shots, but when my dad almost knocks me out with the clay and I have to duck, and come up at a weird angle, I never miss. It's weird.

The reason you're missing those left and right angles is you are trying to "aim" and "calculate and judge" lead. How you do this is you'll be tracking a target at say a hard right angle and just as you're nearing to shoot, you do a "lead-check" or you look back at your beads as reference point. What happens when you do this is you stop or slow down your swing causing you to shoot behind and either above or below the target.

That's why people miss those hard angles. It's the cause 95% of the time. Ask any professional shooter or instructor, they'll tell you the same thing.

Um, I usually end up shooting in front of it, trying to over lead.
