Installing chokes on a fixed barreled gun

I was given an Antonio Zoli over/under shotgun for my wedding 6 years ago. The gun is choked in mod and improved. It has really just been a safe queen, but I have aspirations to convert it to a turkey gun and was wanting to upgrade it to a have the capability to have screw in chokes. If I were to take it to a gunsmith what kind of price tag am I looking at to have it threaded to accept screw in chokes?

Going to be tough to do what you want, when you are starting with a bbl choked IC.
Only place I can think of that would shoot you straight (as to feasibility) would be Briley, and maybe a set of their thin-walled chokes. But I'm guessing that quantities of non-tox in tight constrictions are not in your future with that piece.

That's kind of what I was thinking. My shot shell selections are going to be extremely limited, I may just take it out and put some shells on paper to see where it is at. Then determine whether I want to make the plunge to investigate whether I want to put some extra money into it.

Not to be a wet blanket, but for the money you'll have into work on 2 bbls and a set of chokes you could set up an 870 or 835 and have a legit turkey stomper

I know Carlsons chokes will thread barrels. Might just have to give them or briley a call and see what it will take.

Carlsons will do it for $220, includes 3 extended chokes, possibly an extra charge for chrome lined barrels. Only way to know is to measure the inside and outside diameters of both barrels.

I've got the Knox Spec-ops stock, and a Vortex SPARC, now I just need to rape some one out of an 870 receiver and I'm in business.

I'd leave the gun alone. Keep it original. All it's going to do is go up n value.

20 ga is the way to go, my nephews 20 ga NEF pump patterns like crazy, even with lead. Been thinking bout having choke tubes made for my 16ga O/U. It is threaded in Mobilchoke threads, which nobody makes after market tubes for.

That's reasonable, and I'm assuming they do good work.

Their site will tell you what the minimum diameter the bbl has to be to install tubes, scroll to the bottom.

My buddy built one last winter and has $1100 wrapped up in it (bought a 20ga slug gun, vr bbl, eotech xps, a couple tubes, and had the whole outfit cerakoted).
I'm hoping to do mine for less than $500

The weight difference is night and day. The mighty ten is quite heavy.
