Shoot what choke patterns the most uniformly.

What I'm saying is buy a couple brands of shells and shoot each choke with each brand just to get a generalization of which choke is going to have the most evenly dispersed and uniform pattern.

Then once you find the choke, see which brand absolutely patterns the best.

Here's my recommendation - 1oz of 8's in whatever choke you'll hunt with.

Shoot as many as you can afford from Now-season opener.

If your gun is throwing a good pattern, and they aren't dying - it's not the gun/shells/choke...it's you.

I understand what your sayin an I plan on doin that.. I'm just curious to hear about what other expirienced
With hevi metal an kent loads in their vinci's... I plan on pattern my gun an obviously pickin the best choke
An load combination.. But if someone told me their vinci shoots like complete crap with hevimetal the. I won't waste the money

Shotgun barrels are like rifle barrels, everyone is a unique individual that likes a different load. No two barrels are the same. For example, I have a 20 gauge 870 LW made back in the 80s, and a buddy of mine almost has the same gun (made roughly 6 months apart) mine devours federal gold medals like nothing, his won't shoot them for shit. He shoots winchesters in his that pattern beautifully but they won't pattern worth a shit in my 20 gauge LW.

Really lol I shoot sporting clays all the time I can shoot buddy thanks

I guess you got it all figured out then. You shoot clays all the time what choke do you use for them. It seems to me a clay is a hell of a lot smaller than any duck I've ever seen. So I guess wait till the ducks come in closer and shoot them then. It seems to me that you only want to hear someone say I use this choke and I shoot these shells. A couple of people have offered advice and you tell them they are wrong. You go buy a choke buy some shells pattern them if you don't like the choke then take it back and try again. Don't ask for advice on something and then tell someone they are wrong.

Ok dude...just telling you that's what I do...burn a shitpile of shells in the off season and kill 90%+ of the birds I shoot at.
Good luck looking for the magic shell /choke combo that will make ducks fall from the sky.

I shot registered handicap trap for a decade and made it back to the 26.5 yard line. 4 years I placed 27th out of some 5,000 people at the Grand American in Sparta, IL in 10 days of shooting over 1900 shells. If you have the dough to be even half ass competitive in SC, you'd be shooting a Krieghoff, Perazzi, or Kolar with custom chokes and wouldn't be asking us about choke/load combos.

Find somewhere with a crow/pigeon problem and give em hell. Practice is what it takes. I've always shot factory chokes and never had a problem. Chokes/high dollar shells don't get you anywhere. Get mad stop around whatever but any gun will do just fine with factory chokes.

I shoot whatever is on sale because shell & choke don't make a hill of beans difference.

You came here asking for choke and shell recommendations and pretty much everyone is telling you it makes no difference if you put the pattern on the bird - but you don't want to hear that.

Ok, I'm going to give you the load I shot in a Benelli M2 I had a couple years ago. That's as close to a Vinci that I've ever owned and they both have the cryogenic barrels. It was Winchester Supremes 3" #3 shot. Slayed a good handful of geese and loads of ducks with that in a Light modified factory choke. That's as much info as I can help you on.
