Winchester SXP help!

Hello everyone. New guy here!
I have a Winchester SXP defender, the marine 12 ga.
It has the shorter barrel and is not the ideal waterfowl gun. However, it is very suitable as a gun for salt water duck hunting. I keep it on the boat while deer hunting in Alaska, and want to get a suitable choke tube for it for this days we beach hunt, and the ducks are flying. It came with the cylinder bore choke tube. Thinking the Browning/Invector Cremator was the way to go, I bought one. The problem is the textured grip on the tube starts too low on the Cremator and doesn't allow the tube to screw in to the threads inside the barrel. Before I go on a wild goose chase looking for a proper tube, is there a company out there that makes a longer/extended tube that fits this barrel thread configuration? TIA

I think you bought a Browning invector cremator, choke pictured on the left....
The choke pictured on the right looks like a Browning invector plus choke tube...
It should be written on it invector plus....
I would contact Carlson tell them the issue and hopefully they will trade with you...

Well, that makes sense. My research prior to the purchase was limited. It was an Amazon buy with free returns. I got drawn in by the 'Fits most Winchester" on the label.. The tube on the right is the one that came with the gun. Cylinder bore.

So what I really need is this?

There's no reference to "Fits Winchester" from the manufacturer.

Thanks!

A quick internet search and I came up with this...

What chokes come with a Winchester SXP?
The SXP uses Winchester/Browning's familiar Invector-Plus choke tubes, enabling the user to quickly adapt to whatever shooting situation he encounters. The SXP comes with three Invector-Plus tubes; improved cylinder, modified and full.May 23, 2013

So yes, I think the choke tube above will Fit your gun...

Use a bit of grease or antisieze on the threads.
People get their choke tube stuck in sometimes.

Plan ahead.

Keep in mind, you might want to run a fairly tight choke to accommodate for the shorter barrel

Oh shit. It has an 18 inch barrel?
You're going to find out very quickly how effing loud that is and how nobody wants to sit next to you.
Rick...do you allow 22 inch barrels in your mud hole?
Yes or no.
