I think you should say to hell with it and make a sweet coat and hat like the one Denzel wears in American gangster. Rock that thing out to your next parent teacher conf.

Not much. I think I paid about $60 a dozen for those stretchers a while back. I just started on this dozen, because the others have been sharpened down to nubs and don't hold the fur very well. They should be thrown away, but I can't bring myself to do it

I could use a trappers help out here. I left all the goldeneye and buff carcasses in my yard over night over the weekend. Monday morning around 2 am it sounded like michael vick's basement outside my bedroom window. Thought one was gunna jump through my window.

Layniebug helped me run the traps this morning. Unfortunately, I got nothing. She was looking forward to carrying any foxes back to the Jeep, and was more disappointed than I.

I've tried typing this a few different ways, and nothing seems to come out right. I was going to say something along the lines of kids are sissies now-a-days and you are raising yours right, but with a humorous twist as a knock on boys being more girly than your girls. Everything came more across as an insult to your girls, so I'm just going to leave my failed humor attempt as this long explanation.

Don't sweat it, brother. I've pretty much done all I can to raise my girls in ways that would make boys ashamed- nothing you say would insult me about that!

That, or it would've made them sound butch.

We just now tried it on a coyote. My dad had it done before I could start to video it. Worked awesome. I'm going to try it on the next deer I shoot.

This one the head and feet were partially froze from being outside so it didn't get all of it. He's going to finish it up once it thaws.

That's what I do on the snapping turtles. Never done it on a critter, though. As for deer, youtube skinning a deer with a golf ball- this does work, very, very well.

I found one of the electric hoists at Harbor Freight for $100. Now I have to figure out how to anchor the contraption I'm going to make in the dirt floor of the hay barn, since there's no way I would move my skinning operation indoors like that guy. It has to smell like hell in the summertime.

A cheap, but non-portable way would be to pour a sona tube with an anchor embedded in it.

That's what I was gonna say, pour a small anchored pad. Then anchor your swivel clamp to that.

That's what I was thinking as well, only I had planned on using a larger cable anchor stake instead of concrete. If I have to dig it up first, it sort of defeats the purpose, as soft as our soil is here.
