Q, is this your son?

If so, congrats on that buck this season.

The next deadline is April 7 I think and a nafa guy lives an hour from me. I did also get some insulated leather gloves thrown in. Another guy had 2 martens one was a big dark male and got sixty for that and 30 for the other. Mine weren't as gd but I was willing to haggle. He was only paying 35 for reds

So what are you left with after Jennifer took her usual cut?

No shit! I get 50. However she did help with the stretching process. And has been checking traps on the river with me

Make her earn it boy. No free lunches.

Lost another coyote somehow yesterday, got the cable all rusted up and locked the swivel, and just started shredding the cable till it frayed apart:( thing that sucks is it was 2 ft from where I lost the last one.
I pulled all my sets except at the family property, gonna give them a week or so of uninterruptible to see if they'll get back to trails or if they're all just free rangin still. If I can find a road kill deer I'm gonna try the fenced in kitchen idea.

Does anybody know where I can read up a quick study to learn some about setting conibears for muskrats? i.e. trap locations, tips or tricks.

I don't want to ask one of you to type up a long report for a green trapper.

They'll chew through a 3/32 cable sometimes. That's another reason why I say eff a deer stop.

Where he's setting this is the perfect place for a colony trap. Doesn't get much better.

Those colony traps work very, very well, if you can find good spots to put them. It doesn't look like either of these guys staked theirs, either.

I watched both of those and several others, thanks. Those colony traps look like they work good. I've got the dozen conibears coming soon but I might build 1 or 2 of those colony traps and see if I can find a good spot for them too.
