I was shooting a .243 Remington ADL. The load was a 70 grain Speer TNT bullet....and it made a MESS out of that coyote. Very accurate bullet...but not worth what it does to the dog. The gun jammed on me, BTW, and I sold it the next week. I will never be a fan of push feed guns.

#6 from top was also shot with that same bullet, but in a Savage Model 10. Once again, tore the hell out of the dog. I now only use them to shoot at water jugs, and in this video, pumpkins filled with water-

Why does it matter if they get torn inside out when you shoot them?

When I drop this big guy out here on the golf course I'm thinking about making a hat out of him. Ever done that before?

Its a part of a science called Terminal Ballistics. Its not about tearing them up, its about NOT tearing up the pelt. Bullets are all created to do different things; they are not all the same. The bear I killed in 2009 was shot with a bullet that didnt expand at all; I wanted pure penetration.

When I shoot a prairie dog or a pumpkin, I am going for the splash effect.

Very nice work, Tomkat!
I might have to pay your way to these parts one day. We're wrapped up with 'em.
