That's sweet. Might have to try this. Gonna try the compressed air thing deer.

This way works great, we have been skinning this way for a few years now. Wish I would have known about it earlier.

As I recall... grey squirrels are easy to skin but the red ones are not.

I think squirrel tastes kind of like rabbit, but sweeter.

Easier to skin if they're still warm. Foxes definitely tougher than the grays.

Never done a red one.

Although oddly enough, red foxes are much easier to skin than gray foxes.

Gray foxes are typically bigger than red, at least around here. Same with cat squirrels vs fox squirrels, the littler ones aren't as tough.

Not here. Grays are 2/3 the size of a red. The skinning doesn't get too difficult until you get to the neck. They have a skinnier neck, but the same size head as red, so it's a lot harder to get the shirt to come off, so to speak.

Red squirrels around here are a little bigger than a chipmunk. I think everyone calls squirrels something different.
We have squiggers, red squirrels, and fox squirrels here.

I'm not sure I want to know what a squigger is.

Olney, Illinois has white squirrels. Look it up. The story is historical and really interesting.
