Auction

Quack, did you have any yotes? They seem to be selling quite a bit higher than I remember. I didn't really pay attention last year, but I'm pretty sure they weren't well over $100 like they're going for now. Hopefully that bodes well for all K9s.

You have to have an account with NAFA to see the auction. I think maybe after it's done the prices are posted for the general public, but I'm not sure about that, since I've never tried without logging in. But the heavy yotes were going for $130-$140, which seems awfully high to me.

No yotes in this sale. They are looking like they are close to last year. Top lot was sold for 1400$ last year.
You can go to nafa's website and login as guest and listen to the auction

No kidding? For some reason I thought even the high dollar yotes were only going for $70-$80, with Easterns around $30. Shows how much I pay attention

So far so good. I don't think I'm really down, I've just never had foxes grade this poorly before. Still getting a low of $44 and a high of $60, so far.

Damn near half of mine graded flat. I don't think the prices are that much worse that the last sale, maybe 10% down or so just from glancing at it. It's just that mine graded so poorly that my check will be about half. My average on reds at the last sale was $62, and from a quick calculation here, it's about $39. But again, that's because these fuckers here wouldn't grow hair. My only gray, which was close to the top, but not quite (505) only went $32, and last sale those averaged $51 for me. Oh well. Still the only hobby I have that makes me money, even if it's only a little this time.

Maybe my coons will go for $80 a piece.

Win some you lose some. However, you're right it the only hobby that atleast can cover its own cost.
Wish greys were worth more. They are pretty critters.

Yep! That's the only gray I had for the sale. I even told the wife the same thing when I was looking over my lotting letters this weekend, that apparently the care of the animal makes about 10%, with M<other Nature handling the other 90%. Thing had it's head split open, and I was afraid to scrape him very hard for fear of ripping him in half.

I had no rats on this sale. My martens sell thur afternoon, probably late like 5-6eastern. Beaver sell Friday.
I put up my fox last night that I got Sunday. I fucked up and put 2 holes in the snout and cut through the end of the tail. They say the tail and anything past the ears don't matter, I guess we'll see on the next sale

Neighbor's otter dropped almost 60% as well. Not sure why they sold instead of buying them back. I'm terrified for my coons this Saturday.
