After this morning, I'm hooked on shooting turkeys with a bow. It was fun, plus we got a double!

I believe you, but even after shooting my gun all waterfowl season, I still want to shoot it more for turkeys.

Just a regular 100 Gr. broadhead. The guys out here that archery hunt for 'em all told me the same thing: on a broadside shot, aim straight up from the legs right about in the center of the body. If he's strutting away from you, shoot straight at the base of the tail.

Did you mess with poundage or a string tracker? I shot one with the spring stoppers once and it never penetrated his wing and the bird flew off. Said forget this and grabbed the shotgun.

I don't know what a string tracker is.

Bow has 60 pound limbs. It's turned all the way up and I have never messed with it. I was told you have to make sure to miss the wing completely. That's something I forgot to say before, straight above the legs, pretty much center of the body right where the wing feathers meet the body.

Kind of weird hearing you guys talk about wanting to shoot a turkey with a bow, because I've only ever shot them with a bow and really want to try it with a shotgun.

You would have to slow down on the gun buying for that.

Thank you! I only measured because curiosity got the best of me. I want to accomplish the grand slam with that over/under.

Congrats bro! Hard to tell from the pic, but he looks Eastern, haven't looked to at the subspecies distribution for NoDak recently though.
