I'm guessing that what you had were already field ready. What we have are in crates and have to be broke out before giving them out. I've never used one so you would know better than me. We just have a shit ton of them.

No rats in the bucket this morning. I had 4 videos on the camera but I think the distance was to close as the video is pretty washed out with light so I'm going to try it again tonight.

That was my problem. I had to back the camera to about 12-14 feet to keep the IR from washing everything out.

I just covered 3/4 of the IR LED's with black tape will setup tonight. In one of the videos you could barely make out a rat walking up the plank then back down it without going out on the roller. Might take them a few days to get used to it.

Just peanut butter. Roller is a piece of 1/2 conduit on a wooden dowel very easy to make. Has about 6 inches of water in the bottom with some anti freeze mixed in.

The mess is a bag of flour I had in there that the motherfuckers chewed through and got everywhere. So I left it, and set the traps and then sifted flour over them.

Why do you keep flour in the barn?

Occasionally I need to temporarily seal up small gaps, which require flour mixed with water, instead of a chemical sealant.

You seal the gaps with pancakes?

Its for a still. You use flour and water to "caulk" any leaks.

Not really. Sure those are rats not rabbits? Before the barn cats killed them all, rabbits and blackbirds would play hell with my green tomatoes. But I don't know squat about what kind of pests you got down there.

I haven't seen rabbits in the backyard but rats do take off through my blackberry bushes when I walk back there. Also tomatoes two feet off the ground are getting hammered. Do have a few blue Jays that tend to hang around as well. Have 8 celebrities and just about every tomato has been half eaten.
