Any Trappers in Fl

Postby shotshell » Wed Jun 25, 2014 3:22 pm

Fairly new to trapping and I wanted to see if anyone trapped in Florida or in Alabama/Georgia that wouldn't mind me coming along and learning on trips or jobs?
Thanks

Trapped quite a few beaver in FL but I let them go after a few hours.
Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward. Whoever cannot take care of himself without that law is both. For a wounded man shall say to his assailant, "If I live, I will kill you. If I die, you are forgiven." Such is the rule of honor.

Once I realized the fur wasn't worth my time or money I let them go.

A couple guys on here trap, but aren't near you. Check out http://www.gatrappersassoc.com/

At the very least, drop them an email. Unlike hunters, most trappers are more than happy to let someone come along and learn how it's done, and I'd bet you could find some folks close to you who would take you along a couple days, no problem.
