Finally some for me

It seems to be the same for all trades or hobbies in that when you do the work for others you never have time to make the same for yourself. When I did floors in high end homes everyone assumed I must have the best floors in the area. Not the case. I had carpet and vinyl. The same has been for my decoys. Im on track to turn out 50+ birds this year and none of them are bound for my own rig. Ive decided after speeding up my process with a hatchet and learning some faster painting techniques to make a few for myself this year. Im looking to make 6 black ducks this year so that I can turn my plastic birds into seaducks.
The first one I know I already posted but I wanted to put them all together here. This one has the head at about a medium height. The second is a high head and my plans are to carve either a preener or feeder next followed by a couple resters. Both are hollow cedar and will be painted in oils. I will hold off on paint and do them all at one time.
This one is an inch wider and 2 inches longer than the previous. Ive made some improvements on my pattern.
