Horicon block

Postby Feelin' Fowl » Fri Jun 07, 2013 4:06 am

As I dug deeper into my bags of used deeks for repainting I came across a few Horicon Block mallards. They seems like pretty nice decoys, but I hadn't heard of them. Can't find anything on the interwebs...

Anyone know anything about the Horicon Block decoys?

I know it's just another decoy. I just hadn't heard of the company, and can't find anything about it...

I honestly don't know anything about them. It seems that its not always the look of a decoy, but the maker that makes them collectable. They don't look to be extremely old.

I agree. I don't think that these are collectable. I just like them. The few that I have aren't "new", and while I can't attest to how hard they have been hunted, if they are anything like the flambeaus that I have, the horicon blocks have been hunted hard, and are still in great shape. I would like to find a few more to repaint...

You have that one, too? Ours hangs above the dining room table. Sort of like the Sistine Chapel, only different.

While funny, and noted to use on someone else, I did google that shit! The first link shows it's out of stock (no longer in catalog), and the next few are posts from '10, '05, and '01.

Oh-so it's not some antique collectible, but was actually sold by Cabelas 3 years ago. Noted.
