A puddler

Here's one of about maybe 6 puddlers I've done. I hunt divers about 80%+ of my time on the water but had the urge to try a few puddlers. This is the first and only pintail I've ever done.

This one is hollowed cork, tupalo head, acrylic paint, and a PVC insert for the tail.

Thanks guys. I just wished I could work up the nerve to try and carve another one. This one worked on me pretty hard :D

Bootlipkiller I don't sell decoys anymore. Use to do it and it just got to be a drag and I started hating carving because I felt pushed to do a bird.

I do like to trade though

That's a good looking decoy man. I would love to have a few of those in my decoy spread next season.

That looks great!

Do you guys hand paint, airbrush, or do both?

For mine its all hand painted. I've got an airbrush but haven't ever used it in a decoy.

I've repainted decoys both by hand, and with an airbrush. doing it by hand makes your work even more impressive

I only hand paint. Just don't have the time to learn how to use an airbrush. Also I've had some bad experiences with airbrushed decoys and paint durability...just rubs off too easy under hunting conditions.

Wife Huh?.....I can't hardly deal with the one I've got now ...2 might kill me :D :D :D

Why are birds in GA so angry? Very nice sprig Scott. One of my favorites of yours.
