Had my lovely assistant Sarah (aka my blood thirsty killer daughter) with me in the shop today. Her assignment was to learn to set eyes in carved decoys. She did a great job and set the eyes in almost 40 birds. Next week she gets to learn how to make the bills, soon to be followed by airbrushing lessons. I love having her working with me.

It's cool to see the birds before being finished and she looks like she's doing a killer job.

It's great when you can get your family involved like that. Just more time you get to spend with them

More of a hobby that takes lots of time and brings in very little money. But it keeps me out of the wife's hair.

I carve decoys and do flocking/painting for folks.
