Mt. Shasta CWA dinner bird

Postby Mean Gene » Wed May 06, 2015 2:32 pm

I was asked last month by the California Waterfowl Association dinner folks putting on the Mt. Shasta event on the 16th of this month if I would make them a bird. Told them IF I could get one done, but it was kind of last minute. So, in between my other zillion projects I've been pecking away at something for them, and this is what I came up with. The bird is constructed completely out of locally harvested and milled cedar, except for the keel, which is maple. I also made a presentation stand for it out of oak and brass. All I wanted for paint on this one was a simple gunning scheme, nothing fancy. I hope they like it.

Dang that looks good for a rushed project.
