With all the flooding, restructuring at the job, family issues etc I've had to put the carving on a back burner. These cork birds are waiting for some paint and the two blocks of tupelo are a couple commissions I need to start, an owl and 1/6th size Bald eagle. Plus a bird for Delta Waterfowl is waiting to be drawn, cut, carved, burned, textured and painted. Lots of coffee and hot, mosquito infested shop time coming soon.

Sorry, you said you have a delta bird still to cut, carve, burn etc. That's what I was wondering about. You mean burn in feather details?

Yes, just picked up a Colwood unit for burning in details. Going to try it out on a Common Eider hen

Plus the two commissioned birds are perfect for it as well given their colors.
