Trainer Near Lenoir, NC

Postby connord » Sun Oct 08, 2017 3:28 am

I am moving to NC due to a job offer that I received. I just recently bought my first pup while I was in Oregon and I am looking to get involved in hunt test. Are there any good trainers in my area that are good with the dog as well as involving the owner in the training as well? I'm not wanting to just drop her off and pick her up. I want to be involved as much as possible. I hope I'm not asking for to much! thank you for any advice in advance! Hunt on my friends!

According to the internet there are three.
Google "dog trainer Lenoir NC"

1. Keith Walker master dog trainer
2. Carolina Mountain Canine, home of Bone Rouges Dog Training
3. Pennell Dog Training

Call them and ask if they train working retrievers and if they don't ask who does.
#2 is open until 6pm today.
I've heard that it's incredibly stupid to **** around with a crazy man's head.

I'm in Illinois and can not vouch for any of the trainers listed. All I did was google it for you.
Those trainers only do potty training for all I know.
Hopefully they can steer you to a trainer that does "retrievers for waterfowl hunting".
Make sure you make that clear when you talk to them.
Good luck.
