I don't like to and it is not my place to criticize but I would never run a dog of mine across a street. It looks like a service road but to a dog, pavement is pavement. Pavement is not good on a running, hard charging dogs feet (pads) and your dog looks like a fine animal.

Yea it's actual an empty parking lot that's closed off. He can't get to pavement unless he's with me. He is making a real dog to be 15 months. He started last year at 9 months and never missed a retrieve. I didn't pick up one duck myself since I got him. Thanks for the compliment on him and advice on the pavement. I'll keep him in the field and water

Your pups are looking great.
As my pups get bigger I like to take gerber baby rice cereal and reg. milk mix it well and pour it over my females food.
She eats twice as much as normal and it really increases her breast milk and the pups seem to do better.
It has helped with all my dogs but it seems to help more on the GSP's than the Lab's probably because my Lab's are naturally bigger eaters and consume more calories daily.

Hey Steel
Concerning supplementing females food while nursing , I know you didn't ask and as good as the pups look you my have no intention of additional calories to her diet.
However if you choose to you may want to use water in the rice cereal instead of milk , as some dogs do not digest it well and it can cause diarrhea.
Our dogs eat what ever we eat table scraps and all , but many guys wouldn't dream of feeding anything other then their choice of dog food.
Anyway I got to thinking about it last night , either way if you chose to supplement, the baby rice cereal is a good choice.

Thanks man. My female has a lot of milk but she lost a lot of weight. I'm keeping her food bowl full and she has starting eating good again now. It was slow at first though, don't think she touched food for 2 days after having them. The rice sounds like a great idea. Mine also eat table food and other shit. My male loves fruit lol he eats cantelope bananas or whatever

Yes feeding those puppy's sure burns the calories.
They look good steel , and as you probably know in the next few weeks they will be requiring even more milk.

Thanks man, they're growing fast. She is full of milk and feeding them great. I'm just worried about her, she is awful skinny but eats good and is already very active again

Thx steel
Everybody has their own ideas but I start introducing them to feathers as soon as they are running around.
A last seasons quail wing is just the right size.
