Used my new one all year for dove and duck. Didn't have a malfunction with exception of the first day I shot it for dove. The coating sucked at first and the gun wanted to rust but over time and multiple cleanings that stopped too. I think I'm going to get it dipped then it will be tits.

Oh, I know they're good guns. Just for the amount of hunting that the average guy does (myself included), there is no way to justify it. So I think a lot of the "___________(insert B gun here) is the best gun out there" is more self-justification than otherwise. For guys like most on here, hunting hard 50 days a year and more, I'm sure they are worth every penny. For the 4 weekend a seasoner, they're hardly necessary. Want one? Heck, buy whatever you want. But don't blow smoke up my ass. (Not you, TK, just the jackwagons who congregate in the Ranger Shack signing in in the mornings with brand new waders, brand new hats, wearing their lanyards into the shack for the drawing, and asking way too many questions. Way too loudly at that hour of the morning. We all chuckle at them, usually.

Nuff Daddy, what you are asking is tough. I have a heck of a time getting the family to stay consistent with the same commands and discipline around the house when we have pups. No, nope, stop, quit it, whoa, are all commands for the same thing. No is the one and only to use or confusion results. Simple commands: No, sit, heel, come, and kennel, must be consistent by everyone or mass confusion will result. Hope this helps.

I just think of it as Benellis 870. If I could have got a dipped 870 for under $300, i would have went with that. Brand didnt matter.

Not really. Novas have great reviews and the camo dipping made the choice for me. Why would I buy a blued 870 for more than what I paid for a dipped gun of a higher value...no brainer.
