Just scored a sweet tank to train on that's not a half mile from the house. Not much action on this thread lately. Will do my part tomorrow

Pup working doubles. Haven't worked him off the stand in the water yet and just really haven't had him in the water near enough.

wasn't too cold that day. Put it on him for floatation. That mill pond in front of us was deep. You step off the bank into 4'-5' of water. And fighting thru those lilies exhausts him.

My dogs first hunt was this weekend. The first day she broke a few times but on the second day did it ever click for her. Nice to see all the work pay off.

Chumley will be 2 yo at the end of this month. he had a pretty good virgin year last year, even tho he missed a month due to cutting his pad/artery on a piece of garbage while launching the canoe.
After labs for 20 yrs, he is my first chessie. I couldn't be any happier.

This is my first bird dog and my first attempt at training. She's doing great despite my inexperience.
This was Nyla's first ever duck hunt. Her first bird was a fulvous whistling duck.
Dove hunting in South Texas you have to be careful with your dogs due to the heat.
Nyla's cousin Roscoe on a late season redhead hunt. My buddy got a banded drake on that hunt
