Welcome to the board!! My dog wears a Rivers West 3MM vest when it is chilly but not frigid, they are the only brand that cuts them to fit an upland dog. When it gets cold he wears a Avery Boaters Parks because it was given to me and fits him well.

I haven't used it yet but I went with cabelas vest with amorflex. It was highly recommended of a Louisiana guide that runs his chessie just about every day of te season is some very dense cover. He claims the vest has lasted three dogs and has very minimal wear on the bottom armorflex part whereas the top half shows some wear. I think that speaks volumes for the armorflex that is not beat up and has contact with far more than the top.

I prefer the Rig'em Right Turbo. It's 6mm of neoprene. Check my site out, I'll cut you a deal on any vest I carry!

Keeping The Steel Flying and Dogs Retrieving

I checked those out on your site and was very interested. Do you have the sizing chart for them? My dog is not built like a typical retriever. I am not afraid to modify the fit if needed. Does it have a protective coating on outside?
My dogs measurements are 18"neck, 29" chest, 20" stomach
