Yesterday...

Postby Redbeard » Mon Jan 27, 2014 11:05 am

...was my first day back to work. During the off season, Charlie gets used to my early work schedule. He knows I'm going to work and won't even get off his bed when I wake up at 0430. However during the hunting season, he, like all your dogs, follows me around the house like a pup in the early morning cause he knows we're going hunting.

So yesterday morning he stuck by my side, like he's done for the last 107 mornings. But I throw on a camo jacket, pat his head and go to work.

Well I guess he whined for the next two hours solid at the front door. Momma was pissed!

Love you too bud!

That's cool. Poor dog just wants to get ducks.

Hard to explain state lines, limits, and seasons to a hunting dog. Mines still hoping but in a couple days he'll figure it out and quit shadowing me.
I've heard that it's incredibly stupid to fuck around with a crazy man's head.

I left mine at home to go pheasant hunting with another guy's dog one time. My Charlie whined by the door for so long that mama brought him out to the field.

Their drive, and love for hunting amazes me...

My dog pouts when she realizes we leave her. When me and my dad go to deer camp she stays home with my mom. Apparently she never leaves her crate the whole time we are gone except to eat and go to the bathroom.
