We're making decent progress. Little to no pressure, except when he needs an occasional reminder. We've transitioned from hand to table, but his pick-ups and holds are sometimes sloppy so we're getting those right before we go to the ground. Beyond progress on the table, his general obedience and attentiveness have been outstanding. He's really tuning in.

I still contend that dogs have been used for centuries by man and, I might add successfully, with out the ecollar.
If you use the ecollar be honest about it. You are giving an electrical shock to your dog. You are not applying pressure or nicking him/her.

Dogs have been trained without e-collars for centuries. Long before the development of cars that can kill the dogs. Oh, cars have green around for 100 years now? Not billions if them?

I have a lot of respect for the guys that train without an e-collar, but there is no denying that it can save a dog's life, and provides instant correction that gives amateurs the ability to train their own dog in the busy world that we live in today.
