A sad reminder...

Postby Rick » Fri Aug 19, 2022 9:28 am

Good friend lost his young Lab to heat stroke yesterday. Well conditioned two-year-old acclimated to summer weather by kenneling outdoors got overheated just running around in excitement while Ric's wife mowed their lawn. When he collapsed they soaked him in a kiddy pool of cool water, and he seemed to be recovering but died the next morning.

Something for all of we dog owners to stay keenly aware of during our upcoming September seasons.

Wow, that’s awful. Hate to hear that but, indeed, a good reminder.

Wow, great reminder. Threw harry like 7 short dummies yesterday evening that he handled well, had seen enough, shut it down. He could use some conditioning but better off getting it on our family walks, slow bike rides with my little ones.

Good reminder of how easily it can happen Rick, and sorry to hear of your friend's loss.
