Crushed a limit of Southern James Bay geese yesterday. Five hunters five geese, yep 1 bird per day here in our pathetic restricted zone here in NW Pa. While the rest of the state shoots 8 per day.

You probably wont believe me but the DNR in combo with the PGC has been addling eggs and killing adults for the last 5 years or so and have destroyed the population. It sure isn't because of us hunters..

If he's hunting around Pymatuning Lake, it's probably like Wisconsin's Horicon Marsh region: lots of birds, but lots of hunters = 1 bird limit.

Last year's stats at Pymie were abysmal. Something like 450+ hunters shot 80 birds for the season. The regulars that live there don't even go anymore it's so bad. Middlecreek is the same way. I don't hung there at all.

Then I've dated my time in the general area, as it was a hot spot in the "way back when..." But, assuming memory serves, tightly regulated.

It used to be "THE" place to go if you wanted to kill a Canada goose. Now it's just a shell of what it once was.
