Season dates

When I first started we had a 30 day season.
Was Nov 1rst to Nov 30.
Was busy doing other things when the season got longer and finally was 60 days.
When I picked up where I'd left off the duck season started usually around the Halloween holiday or close.
Probably just worked out that way but over the years the season has went from starting around the 28th to the 24th a full week before Halloween.
Don't seem right.
Pheasant season always starts the first Saturday of November and I never had a full ten days of straight duck hunting before pheasant way back. Was always a conflict real quick. Am always anxious for duck season but I'd like it to start closer to November 1rst.
The ducks usually don't show up until mid November anyway.
