They need all the info they can get right now since the commies up in Canada won’t let them come survey the nesting grounds.

Have only done the woodcock version, but have it in my head that DComeaux may have done the duck wing thing before. Shouldn't be a bad thing.

Will be interesting to me to see if the follow-up report shows any juvenile mallards from LA, as I don't believe any of the mallards we netted for telemetry study and banding last year were birds of the year.

Encouraging to see how many immature birds were harvested on a "dry" prairie year.

Probably killed the last immature mallard to find Southwest Louisiana - unless the wing bee participant was mistaken...

The season before last there was this guy.
He dressed like a game warden and he was stopping boats. We all humored him.. no badge or pistol.
That's a biologist and that's exactly what he was and he drove from Wisconsin?
When I saw his shirt had a Wisconsin logo I asked "why are you here?".
He was collecting wings to age ducks he said so I pulled out a duck and asked "how old is this one?".
He said he can't tell.
They send the wings to another guy that can tell a ducks age by the wing or feathers.
Getting information from "these people" is about impossible yet they want to crawl up your Anus and investigate. Not creepy at all.
Wisconsin took a lot of duck wings from big lake wma.

Funny but we all kept asking about ducks feet to see if he could spot a "new duck". :x
