The big freshwater ocean it is said, never gives up her dead, when the skies of November turn gloomy.

That seems jacked up that the whole river follows the "other" state's laws..?? I think here, it's an imaginary line in the middle of the river. So if you're hunting the bank of your state, you're following their laws. Seems a lot more logical to me.

And,...no Sunday hunting is absolute bs! I can't believe there are states that still follow that...

Its W V with no Sunday hunting
No you can hunt either side just up to the first ripples . They have a map with GPS numbers I stopped messing around down there. to much fighting going on for some ducks I can shoot most right here at home .most of the times 20 minutes from the house .

@Olly

Are you still planning on camping while you're up there?
If so and you're taking a dog, keep a careful eye on him. I just read a report about hunting dogs getting taken out by a pack of wolves in the Eastern UP.

@woody yes I am and I'll keep that in mind when camping. Thanks for the heads up.

Wolves have been killing dogs off left and right up there. I'd keep him in sight all the time. It's mostly all the bear hounds that are getting ripped up.

Keep em close and gun in hand. He'll be alright. Wolves stay way away from people. It's the dogs that are on there own that are getting into it.

The story I just read said the wolves were circling the hunters while they were trying to recover their dog collars.

Really? Got a link? That's crazy. All the story's I've read were bear and coon hounds that were out running.

They were bear dogs, but the article was in a magazine, so no link. Michigan Sportsman, I think. Can't remember the month.
